Backend Innovator

We are seeking a Backend Innovator to join our dynamic team in Rotterdam. This role is perfect for a mid-to-senior level engineer who's passionate about designing and implementing robust backend solutions. You will focus on the following key areas:

• Architecting and developing high-performance backend systems using modern technologies.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of server-side applications.
• Implementing security and data protection measures.
• Optimizing and refactoring existing systems for efficiency and scalability.
• Mentoring junior developers and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
